Join us for Walk for Water 2025 at Crapo Park in Burlington, IA, a meaningful 5K walk to raise awareness and critical funds for YouthWorld Africa’s Clean Water Initiative. This life-changing campaign provides sustainable water purification systems to underserved families across Southern Africa.

Why We Walk
In many parts of Southern Africa, women and children walk an average of 5 kilometers (over 3 miles) every day to fetch water. Tragically, that water is often contaminated with life-threatening bacteria and pollutants. This daily journey robs children of an education, puts women at risk, and leaves entire communities vulnerable to preventable diseases. You can help change that.

The Cause
All proceeds from the Walk for Water will be directed to YouthWorld Africa’s Clean Water Initiative, which provides long-lasting, high-efficiency water filters to families in need. Each filter costs just $50 and provides up to 10 years of clean, safe drinking water for an entire household. Your participation and support will directly impact lives — every step you take helps bring hope, health, and dignity to someone in need.
