About the Event
5Katie
The 5Katie event includes a 2K Walk, 5K Run/Walk, 5K Virtual Race, and 10K Trail Race. It takes place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Hurricane, WV. All proceeds benefit the care and treatment of children with cancer through a partnership with the West Virginia Kids Cancer Crusaders.

Location: Meeks Mountain Trails - Hurricane City Park, Hurricane, WV 25526 US
Race Details: Packet pickup is from 7:30 - 8:45 am on race day. The race start/finish line is by the shelter in the “bowl”, located across the train tracks. Water and sports drink aid stations will be available along the course, with post-race refreshments at the shelter.
Race Distances: Please note these are trail races, and distances are not exact. The 5k course is close to 4 miles, the 10k course is approximately 6.1 miles, and the 2k walk is approximately 1 mile.
Awards: The 5K and 10K are competitive races with awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in various age divisions. The 2K walk is non-competitive.
Finish Line Swag: Each registrant will receive a high-quality shirt if registered by November 1, 2025.
