Be the Buffalo Memorial Run for Digits and Needle

About the Race

The Be the Buffalo Memorial Run for Digits and Needle is held annually to honor the memory of Dianne Sullivan Wells (Digits) and Edith Edy Pearson (Needle), two beloved runners in the Lexington community. The event aims to foster community support and remembrance, embodying the spirit of "being the buffalo" by facing challenges together.

A portion of the proceeds from the race is donated to a charity chosen by the families of Digits and Needle. For the 2026 race, proceeds will benefit the family of Kathy Young.
