Formerly Corner Canyon Ultra Trail Runs, the Bear Canyon Trail Run continues its proud tradition of challenging athletes while giving back to the community as a Cancer Charity/Fundraising event. This race is not just a test of endurance—it's a race with a purpose. Proceeds are donated each year to an individual or family in need of help and support.
The new route promises to push your limits. It is a very scenic and challenging loop (comprising one or two loops) on low-traffic single track. Prepare for steep technical climbs and descents. The start leads you up to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, transitioning to the Trail of the Eagle. The first leg of the loop climbs 4,100 feet in 5 miles. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll join the Bear Canyon traverse trail, showcasing beautiful rolling sections near the top of Bear Canyon, offering incredible scenery and views. Then, you’ll descend via the Cherry Canyon Logging Trail, dropping 4,100 feet in 4 miles down steep, fast technical downhill back to the Bonneville Shoreline trail and the start/finish area.
If you opt for a second loop, you get to experience it all again or relax at the finish area and celebrate with fellow runners. Be sure to consider your experience level before committing to a second loop, as completing two loops involves 8,000 feet of climbing and steep descents. We would love to have you join us for a great cause and a memorable run.
