About the Event
Welcome to the Cowboy 200!
Taking place from September 26 - 29, 2025, the Cowboy 200 features two exciting race options:
- 200-mile: Starts on Friday, Sept. 26th at 6:00 AM (in Norfolk, NE)
- 100-mile: Starts on Saturday, Sept. 27th at 8:00 AM (in Atkinson, NE)
Race Highlights
- Point-to-point course on a non-technical, crushed limestone path.
- Cash prizes for 1st place male AND female in the 200-mile solo run: $1500 each, plus additional $500 for new course records!
- Ten manned aid stations, many offering hot food and additional unmanned water stations.
- Celebrate at the finish line/post-run celebration at Bolo Beer Co. in Valentine, NE.
- Live GPS tracking available.
Cutoffs and Race Capacity
- 200-mile solo cutoff: 84 hours (25:12/mile average).
- 100-mile solo cutoff: 32 hours (19:12/mile average).
- Limited to 150 total runners.
- Initial cap of 50 runners for the 100-mile race.
Aid Stations
- 10 full aid stations along the 200 miles with a variety of food options.
- At least one plant-based hot food option at these stations.
Swag and Awards
- Participants will receive a Cowboy 200 Boco bag, T-shirt, and a collapsible cup.
- Finishers of the 200-mile race will receive unique year-specific buckles.
Refunds and Deferrals
No refunds will be issued. Entries can be deferred for race credit up to three months prior to the event.
