Wurst Run Ever 5K

Run it, walk it, just have fun with it!

Date and Time: The race will be Saturday, September 20, and will begin at 8:00 a.m. The race will start and finish at Johnson Park.

Runner SWAG: As a participant in this event, you will receive the official race t-shirt, a participation medal, a drink ticket to be used during the Oktoberfest celebration, and, of course, a complimentary bratwurst.

Registration: Register by September 5 to receive the runner's swag, including a t-shirt, medal, and stein. Registration fee is $30. You can still register after this date, all the way up to 7:30 am on the morning of the race. However, please note that you will not be guaranteed the swag, and the fee will be $35 starting Sept. 5th and $55 starting Sept.16th

Race starts at 8:00 from Johnson park 101 E. Nebraska Avenue. Runners can pick up their race packets on Friday, September 20, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. or Saturday morning, 6:30-7:00 a.m. at Johnson Park.

Route: The route can be found along with this registration on Runnersignup.com and a copy will also be in the race packet. You can run or walk through the race!

Awards: Get out your lederhosen...there will be an award for the best group costume and the best individual costume! The top male and female finishers will each win an award!

Age Divisions: 6 & under, 7-9 year olds, 10-12 year olds, 13-15 year olds, 16-18 year olds, 19-24 year olds, 25-29 year olds, 30-34 year olds, 35-39 year olds, 40-44 year olds, 45-49 year olds, 50-54 year olds, 55-59 year olds, 60-69 year olds, 70+ year olds

Communication for the event: We will use three forms of communication for the event: email, text, and Facebook. Email will come through our Active system, texts will be sent through our EZ texting platform, and announcements will be made on our Norfolk Parks and Recreation page.
