Crosswinds Run Series

Welcome to the Crosswinds Run Series! Join us in Canandaigua, New York, for a premier running event that has been a community favorite for over 22 years. This year, we’re thrilled to introduce the Crosswinds Run Series (formally the Crosswinds 5K), featuring events for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities:

• The 5K: Our iconic, USATF-certified course is as fun as it is challenging, perfect for both walkers and competitive runners. Enjoy the exhilarating first downhill mile through the City of Canandaigua, followed by the renowned climb up West Lake Road, and finish strong on the rolling hills of Ferris Hills.
• The 10K: New for 2025, this carefully designed USATF-certified course builds on the tradition of the 5K’s hills, providing an exciting and rewarding challenge for seasoned runners. Participants should be prepared to complete the course within 90 minutes, as roads will reopen to traffic after this time.
• Kids Fun Run: A half-mile course entirely on the Crosswinds campus, perfect for young runners (preschool - 5th grade) to enjoy a safe and fun race day experience. Every participant gets a t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and access to a delightful snack table to celebrate their accomplishment!
• Support Without the Sweat: Not a runner? You can still make an impact! With this option, you can register anytime before race day and receive a race shirt to show your support. You can also choose to donate above and beyond the registration fee, knowing every dollar helps support The Spot and its incredible mission. No sweat required—just your generosity and community spirit!

The Crosswinds Run Series is more than just a race - it’s a movement with a mission. All proceeds go to The Spot, a local organization providing free school supplies, clothing, food, and shoes to students in need within the Canandaigua and Victor school districts. Last year, with your incredible support and our valued business sponsorships, we raised an astounding $13,000 for The Spot. This year, with the expanded Run Series, we aim to go even further!
