About the Event
Overview
Birmingham Ultra Trail Society (BUTS) and Turkey Creek Nature Preserve are teaming up again to host the annual Darter Dash 5k and 10k on September 20, 2025. The race will be capped at 125 participants between the 5k and 10k, so sign up early!
This enjoyable run features moderate elevation and beautiful trails beside Turkey Creek, with a small portion on pavement.
Participants can take the optional Splash Challenge by tubing down the waterfall at the finish line, the perfect way to cool off after a great run!
A pancake breakfast with mimosas will follow the race to celebrate your achievement!
Race Day Details
- Packet Pickup: Starts at 7am on September 20. No race day registration available.
- Start Times: 10k at 8:00 AM, 5k at 8:10 AM
Post-Race Activities
Stick around to mingle, enjoy pancakes and mimosas, slide down the waterfall, and participate in our award ceremony for top winners!
