Drug-Free Dash 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk

Event Details

The Drug-Free Dash is taking place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 8:00 AM CDT. It will start and end near the Gail Borden Library at 270 N. Grove Avenue, Elgin, Illinois.

This event includes:

• 5K Run
• 2 Mile Walk

Registration is available online until 11:59 PM on April 11, 2025, and there is no registration on race day morning.

Registration Fees:

• 5K Run - Age 21 and under: $5.00
• 5K Run - Age 22 and over: $35.00
• 2 Mile Walk - Age 21 and under: $5.00
• 2 Mile Walk - Age 22 and over: $20.00

Participants under the age of 21 can register for free!

Perks:

All participants registering online by April 1, 2025, will receive a free dri-fit T-shirt. Every registrant will also receive a finisher medal, along with trophies awarded to the overall male and female winners.

Course Information:

The course is relatively flat with a few short inclines. A water stop will be available for the 5K runners. Free parking and restroom facilities are available at the Gail Borden Library.

Sneaker Recycling:

Participants are encouraged to bring used sneakers for recycling, with proceeds supporting local running groups.

Pre-Race Day Packet Pickup:

Packet pickup will be available on Friday, April 11, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Greater Grace Community Church, 991 Deborah Avenue, Elgin.
