Event Details

The Forum Fitness 43nd Annual Winter Flight 8K & 5K and 2026 RRCA 8K NC State Championship is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, to Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Salisbury, NC.

The event includes:

8K Run (also serves as the RRCA 8K NC State Championship)
5K Run/Walk
Fun Run - 1/2 Mile
Wheelchair / Ainsley's Angels

A Pre-Race Pasta Dinner will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the City Park Recreation Center.

Race Schedule & Location

Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Catawba College Gymnasium, Salisbury, NC (Corner of Summit & Yost).

12:00 pm - 1:45 pm: Registration and packet pickup
1:30 pm: 1/2 Mile Fun Run
1:58 pm: Wheelchair / Ainsley's Angels
2:00 pm: 5K Run/Walk
2:00 pm: 8K Run

Course Information

8K Run: USATF Certified Course, starts near Catawba College gym and ends in Shuford Stadium. Open to all runners and serves as the 2026 RRCA 8K NC State Championship. Maximum time limit of 90 minutes.
5K Run/Walk: Walkers must register for the 5K.
Fun Run: 1/2 Mile.

Awards & Prizes

Awards for top finishers in various categories for the 8K and 5K. Cash prizes and a bonus for new 8K records are available for the 8K race.
