Foundation for Blind Children Stride For Sight 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk

Join the Stride for Sight 5K and 1-mile walk, a unique event for all ages and abilities where blind and sighted runners compete together. This event aims to fund the comprehensive programs at the Foundation for Blind Children.

Blindfold Challenge: For an added adventure, compete in the 5K run blindfolded with a sighted guide. This is a unique opportunity to experience the race from a different perspective. Teams consist of two people, and roles can be swapped mid-race. Blindfolds and tethers will be provided.

Registration Fees:

• Nov 1 – Dec 31: $30 + processing fee
• Jan 1 – Feb 27: $35 + processing fee
• Mail-in Registration: $30 + processing fee (accepted until February 23, 2026)
• Race Day Registration (5K & 1 Mile): $40
• Sleep in, give back and get a race shirt mailed to you: $25 + processing fee (Nov 1 - Feb 27)

• Age Group Awards for Top Three in 5K distance

Event Schedule:

• Friday, February 27, 2026: Packet Pickup at Sole Sports (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
• Saturday, February 28, 2026: Race Day Packet-up and Registration Opens (7:00 AM)
• Saturday, February 28, 2026: 5K Begins (8:00 AM)
• Saturday, February 28, 2026: 1 Mile Begins (8:10 AM)
• Saturday, February 28, 2026: Award Ceremony Begins (approx. 9:00 AM)

Note: Wheelchairs, strollers & wagons are welcome. No roller blades/skates, bicycles, skateboards or motorized devices. Leashed pets and walkers are friendly. No bag check available. Event will take place rain or shine; no refunds due to weather.
