Event Description
On Saturday, October 4 at 8 AM, we’ll line up for the race on Lakeshore Drive just outside our festival gates, followed by a fun post-race celebration! Competitive Runners, casual walkers of all abilities, and feathers — all are welcome. A 1-mile Fun Run for the kiddos will kick off at 10 am, and the Festival Gates open at 11 AM.

What comes with my 5K run/walk ticket?
FREE ADMISSION to the National Fried Chicken Festival on Saturday, October 4, 2025 (all-day re-entry allowed).
Postrace Race Party, with complimentary food, snacks, ice-cold beer, beverages, and entertainment
Complimentary 5K run/walk t-shirt

Group Registration
Companies, friends & families, register your group for the 5K run/walk. Purchase a set of tickets for the race and secure a memory you will never forget. $5.00 of each registrant once you have a group/team of 5 or more registratants. All registrants must be in the same transaction and register for the 5K. First register each 5K participant, then "add another registrant" Next, create your group/team or join an existing group/team

Ticket Refunds & Weather Precautions
Please note that all ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. Our 5K is rain or shine, so please plan accordingly.

Child Participants
There will be a 1-mile kids run at 10 am on Saturday for kids 12 & under. Strollers are allowed in the 5K.
