In 2023, the Hungryland 100 was introduced as the first 100 mile ultra permitted in a Palm Beach County Natural Area. The race takes place in the beautiful and brutal Hungryland Slough Natural Area, promoting trail running in environmentally sensitive areas rich with history.
The loop has been changed to a 14.3 mile pseudo iron cross, offering a true loop experience with no repeated sections. The course covers the entire 3,000 acre site through wetlands, prairies, hammocks, and pine flatwoods.
Hungryland Slough Natural Area is one of Palm Beach County's largest natural areas, featuring various ecosystems and a rich history. The site has been restored to its original glory, thriving with native wildlife and vegetation.
The race takes runners through a 14.3 mile loop showcasing the diverse terrains of Hungryland. The flat course offers a variety of surfaces and scenic views, with fully supported aid stations along the way.
The race is fully supported with manned aid stations and fluid stations along the loop. Pacers are allowed for both 100 milers and Jogger Sloggers, providing assistance during the race.
Participants can request a full refund until November 1st, 2023, or opt for a deferral to the 2025 race. No refunds will be issued after November 1st. Transfers to another person are allowed at any time.
Finishers of all distances will receive custom awards, with special buckles for 100 mile finishers. Top finishers and overall winners will also receive awards.
Course cutting, cheating, and littering are not tolerated. Participants are expected to respect the natural area and follow guidelines set by Palm Beach County. Certain items and activities are prohibited during the event.
