A Unique Race Format in the U.S.

Rules
General Rules
- Each runner uses their assigned treadmill for the duration of the race
- Bib must be worn on the runners back for the duration of the race
- To begin each run, treadmills must be set to zero in time and distance (“reset stats”)
- Treadmill incline must be set to 0%
- Nutrition typically used when running is allowed on the treadmills
- Towels are provided on the treadmills
- Minimum attire required includes running shoes, shorts, and a top. Crop tops, sports bras, and singlets are allowed
- Headphones are allowed while running
- The winner is the last person remaining that is able to complete a 5 mile run within 1 hour. Last One Standing.
Race Rules
- 3-2-1 Rule. Announcements will be given at 3 minutes, 2 minutes, and 1 minute before the start of each round. Runners MUST be on the treads in the 59th minute of each hour to avoid a DNF
- Runners must complete the 5 mile run without support from others
- Walking and bathroom breaks are allowed. Taking a break requires the runner to remain running on the treadmill until it comes to a complete stop before stepping to the floor
- Runners may not go to their stations for aid, support, or any other reason until 5 miles is completed.
- Doing so is a DNF. Medical or mechanical exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis
- Empty treadmills cannot be used by non-participants
Penalties and Disqualifications
- Stepping or standing on the side of the treadmill while the tread is in motion
- Leaving the treadmill while the treadmill is in motion
- Holding onto the handle bars at any time while running
- Impeding a runner by touching the speed, incline, or console of another runners treadmill
- Inappropriate attire or attire that distracts other runners
- Going to their station before completing the 5 miles is a DNF
- Warnings, penalties, and disqualifications are at the discretion of the race director.
