About the Event
Lake Scary 5K
Join us this October for the 2025 Lake Scary 5K! This is a monstrous opportunity to run, walk, or roll for a great cause. 100% of the proceeds raised are donated to UCP of Central Florida’s Lake Mary Campus to assist in funding therapy services and support programs. We have witnessed first-hand how children at UCP unlock their potential academically and emotionally, in an environment where differences are embraced. This exciting Halloween-themed race features a t-shirt for all runners and a spooky finisher medal. Runners are encouraged to come in costume, individually or in coordinated teams. There will be prizes for the best-dressed runners. The Lake Scary 5K for Cerebral Palsy, founded and organized by students at Lake Mary Prep, has raised over $80,000 since its inception in 2012. We continue to raise awareness and funds for children who have Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities in Central Florida.
