Description

June 15, 2025 - TOMPS Youth & Junior Triathlon Race, Age 8-17yo Back for 2025 with our newly renovated pool facility! The Town of Mount Pleasant invites you to our youth/junior triathlon at Park West Recreation Center. Registered athletes, ages 8-17yo, will swim serpentine style in our 6-lane, indoor swim facility; cycle on adjacent coned-off roads surrounding the complex; and run on our tree-lined paved paths to an exhilarating track lap finish! This is an excellent opportunity for youth athletes of all abilities to experience multisport on a safe, well-monitored course. Awards will be given to the top male and top female in each age group. Athletes will compete based on the age they will be on 12/31/2025.

Race Notes

• Race starts at 7:30 a.m.
• Packet pick-up will be held onsite race day 6 a.m.-7 a.m.
• Awards ceremony held onsite post-race.
• Bibs and helmets are required.
• Water stations will be set up on the course.
• Bikes should be race-ready with inflated tires, working brakes, and greased chain. Emergency bike repair will be offered onsite.

Race Categories & Distances:

• Ages 8-10: 100M swim, 3-mile bike, 1K (.6 mile) run
• Ages 11-14: 200M swim, 6-mile bike, 2K (1.2 mile) run
• Ages 15-17: 300M swim, 6-mile bike, 3K (1.8 mile) run
