Mt. Hood Trail Races

Event Details

The Mt. Hood Races will be held from July 12 to July 13, 2025, starting and finishing at the Historic Clackamas Lake Ranger Station in Clackamas Lake, OR.

• 50 Mile Race: Saturday, July 12
• 50K & 25K Races: Sunday, July 13

The 50-mile course is an out and back run mostly on the Pacific Crest Trail, with some beautiful spots along the way. The 50K also includes a scenic route around Timothy Lake, while the 25K features trails such as the Headwaters and Old 1916 Trail.

Capacity: 150 for 50-mile, 150 for 50K, and 250 for 25K.

Lottery Information

The 50-Mile race relies on a lottery system. Registration opens at 7:00 AM PT on January 1 and closes at 6:00 PM PT on January 10, with the lottery draw on January 11.

The 50K and 25K do not use a lottery and typically fill up quickly after opening on January 12 at 7:00 AM PT.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the race are eligible for a 50% credit toward a future race. Cancellations less than 30 days before the race will receive no refund or credit.
