Ocracoke Island Weekend Runfest 5K, 10K & Half Marathon

Event Overview

Be part of the 14th Annual Ocracoke Island Weekend Runfest! This exciting running event includes the Scallywag 5K, 10K, and the 10th Annual Blackbeard's Half Marathon, taking place over the weekend of April 26-27, 2025. Whether you are a competitive runner or just want to walk through the beautiful landscapes of Ocracoke, we have something for everyone.

Courses and Start Times

• 5K on Saturday, April 26th at 8:00 AM
• 10K on Saturday, April 26th at 8:00 AM
• Half Marathon on Sunday, April 27th at 7:00 AM

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be at the 1718 Brewery:

• Friday, April 25th, from 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM
• Saturday, April 26th from 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM (5K/10K)
• Saturday, April 26th from 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM (Half Marathon)

Registration Fees

5K/10K Fees:
Until January 15th: $35
January 16th - March 15th: $40
March 16th - April 24th: $45
Race Weekend: $50

Half Marathon Fees:
Until January 15th: $60
January 16th - March 15th: $65
March 16th - April 24th: $75
Race Weekend: $80

Awards and Finisher Medals

All finishers in the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon will receive a medal. Awards will be given to the top finishers in each category, including special awards for the Lt. Maynard's Challenge participants.

Community Support

This event supports local organizations including Ocracoke Community Radio WOVV and Ocracoke School Athletic Boosters Club. Join us in making a positive impact in our community.

Post Run Party

Celebrate your race at our post-run party with refreshing drinks at 1718 Brewery on both days from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
