What is a Backyard Ultra?
A backyard ultra is a race where participants run laps of 4.167 miles every hour on the hour until they can no longer continue. Last runner standing wins!
Course Summary
The Pleasant Ridge Backyard Ultra features sections of the JFA trail and paved paths, offering a beautiful and challenging course.
Entry Fee
$70.00 until September 30, 2025, then $85.00.
Schedule
- January 30: Early bib pickup from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM.
- January 31: Runner check-in from 6:30 AM - 7:30 AM, followed by a runner information meeting at 7:30 AM. The race starts promptly at 8:00 AM.
- February 1: Race continues until one participant remains.
Camping
Camping available for registered runners and their support crew in a 10×10 assigned space with restrooms provided (no showers), and no open flames or grills allowed.
DNF Prize
All participants will receive a DNF camp mug, as a recognition of their efforts, and the winner will receive a finisher award.
