RACE DESCRIPTION

About the Race This is a Phase One event - meaning this is more than a race. This is a test of holistic strength - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. For the novice and experienced, an invitation to train for adversity, define resilience, and find hope.

Race options

  • 8 miler - out and back from bowl and pitcher to first aid station
  • 30 miler - one loop starting from Bowl and Pitcher around Riverside State Park

Course Description

Terrain: Dirt/road trail

Time: 9 hour cutoff

Pace: 16 min/mile

Aid & Support

Aid Stations: 7 stocked Aid Stations

  • From start (bowl and pitcher) to seven mile trailhead (w/ bathroom) 4.5 miles
  • Carlson trailhead at 8.4 miles (w/ Bathroom)
  • Pine bluff at 14.2 miles
  • Marchand trailhead 17.32 miles
  • Military cemetery trailhead 22.66 miles (w/ bathroom)
  • Doomsday 24.8 miles
  • Finish at bowl and pitcher 30 miles

Required Gear: running gear/food/water/electrolytes

Race Check In: Saturday @ 7 am at bowl and pitcher

Course Markings: fluorescent flagging markers as confidence markers spaced throughout course

Littering: No littering. We will leave the track better than we found it.

Self Sufficiency: The aid stations will have food and drink options but the runners are encouraged to self support.

Code Of Conduct: The runners will be expected to treat others with respect and compassion.

Logistics

Parking: Park in designated parking spaces

Bib Pickup: 5-6 PM Friday at bowl and pitcher

7 AM Saturday Bowl and pitcher

Pre-Race Briefing: 0745 Saturday

Start/Finish: Bowl and Pitcher

Merch/Awards

What runners get: Race Bib/Shirt

Finisher Awards: something cool

Waiver: Required to participate. Signed online or in person.
