Description: Join us and bring your friends, family, and pup for a 5K Run or One Mile Walk in the beautiful town of Freeport, Maine! Maine's first dog-friendly 5K is organized by Midcoast Humane, and all proceeds from the event go towards fulfilling our mission of making life better for animals and people in our community. We see nearly 4,000 animals each year, and we provide life-saving veterinary care, food, and comfort to every one of them until they find their new, happy homes. Midcoast Humane also provides pet retention services for responsible pet owners struggling to keep their pets, and we contract with 39 towns from Falmouth to Somerville to take in stray, abandoned, and neglected animals.
