Shamrock Shuffle 5K and Leprechaun Leap 2K

Race Information

On March 21, 2026, the streets of Mt. Holly will be filled with St. Patrick's Day spirit for the Shamrock Shuffle 5K and Leprechaun Leap 2K. This event is a collaboration between Mount Holly Middle School PTO and Rankin Elementary PTA to raise funds for students and staff.

Participants are encouraged to wear festive St. Patrick's Day attire. Costumes are optional, but smiles are guaranteed!

Events & Pricing

• Shamrock Shuffle 5K: Timed event. Prices range from $15.00 (18 & under / 70 & over) to $20.00 (19-69). Day-of registration increases by $5.00.
• Leprechaun Leap 2K: Untimed fun run. Prices range from $10.00 (18 & under / 70 & over) to $15.00 (19-69). Day-of registration increases by $5.00.

Registration & Shirts

To guarantee a race shirt, participants must be registered by March 5, 2026. Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after this date.

Awards

The Shamrock Shuffle 5K will have awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in various age categories for both male and female overall. The Leprechaun Leap 2K is an untimed event with no awards.

Packet Pickup

• Early Packet Pickup: Friday, March 20, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Rankin Elementary (301 W. Central Ave., Mt. Holly, NC 28120).
• Morning of Event Packet Pickup: Saturday, March 21. 2K: 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM. 5K: 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM.

Parking

Parking is available at Mt. Holly Middle School (124 S. Hawthorne St., Mt. Holly, NC 28120), with a short walk to the event start.

Course Notes

The courses are run on public roadways and sidewalks, with restricted lanes. Strollers are welcome. Police and volunteers will be present at intersections for assistance.
