Sickle Cell Takes Flight 5k

Location: Shreveport Downtown Airport, 1550 Airport Drive, Shreveport, LA 71107 US
Description: This event includes a 5k run, a 1/2 mile fun run, and a Co-Pilot option (no running required). All proceeds benefit Project Seek's sickle cell program.

Events:

• 5k: $25, 4:00PM - 6:00PM CDT. Registration ends September 27, 2025 at 5:30PM CDT
• 1/2 mile Fun Run: $10, 3:45PM - 4:00PM CDT. Registration ends September 27, 2025 at 5:30PM CDT. Open to ages 1-10.
• Co-Pilot: $20, 4:00PM - 6:00PM CDT. Registration ends September 27, 2025 at 5:30PM CDT

Registration: Every participant who registers by September 15th will receive an official Sickle Cell Takes Flight T-shirt. Registrations after this date may not be guaranteed a shirt.
Packet Pick-up: Sportspectrum, Thursday, October 25th (10:00PM - 6:00PM), Friday, October 26th (10:00AM - 5:30PM), and Race Day (starting at 3:00PM)

Awards: Awards will be presented to overall male and female winners, and 1st place male and female in each age group (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
