Soup-In-The-Snow - February 7, 2026

Join us for the 11th year of the Soup-In-The-Snow event, held on the 1st Saturday of every February since 2016. Organized by Jeremy Smith, Jeff Fullmer, and the Idaho Falls Trail Runners, this event takes place in beautiful South-East Idaho.

Participants will sprint, trudge, crawl, & scamper through the woods & rivers in a beautiful snowy wilderness. A pot-luck meal, runner-to-runner bonding, & snowball fights are expected to follow the event. All abilities are welcome!

Details:

• Date/Time: February 7, 2026, 8:30 AM MT
• Place: Palisades Creek Trailhead (Past Swan Valley, Idaho)
• Race Course: Run to Lower Palisades Lake and back. Approximately 8.6 miles with about 1000 feet of snowy elevation gain. Expected completion time is 1.5-2 hours.
• Post-Race Potluck Lunch: Participants are asked to bring either a soup, bread, dessert, or side dish to share. Generators will be available to warm up crock pots.
• Transportation: Carpooling is encouraged due to limited trailhead parking.
• What to Bring: Participants must bring their own utensils (bowl, mug, spoon, etc.), toilet paper, and camp chairs.
