Summer Sweat 5k

The West Florida Y Runner's Club announces the Inaugural Summer Sweat 5k at Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor, Florida. The 5k Run/Walk will take place on July 12, 2025, at 8am and will be totally on the trail inside the park. The course is mostly blacktop, but a portion will be in some hard sand. This event will continue with a fourth of July theme. There will also be a 1 Mile Fun Run as well that will begin at 9am. West Florida Y Runner’s Club members receive a $5 discount. T-shirts will be revealed soon. These will be the normal West Florida Y Runner's Club themed shirts that you have seen at our events for going on 50 years. Stay Tuned to add to your collection! Note: if you don't want to compete but still want the shirt, just register for the fun run and you will receive a shirt. The cutoff for guaranteed T-shirts will be June 30th. Shirts will not be mailed if you cannot be at the event so, please make arrangements with a friend or family member to pick up for you. Awards for the 5k will be: Top Male Overall and Top Female Overall. 3 deep in each of the below age categories, Male and Female. 13-under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. We will have post refreshments and drinks as well as the Awards Ceremony at approximately 9:15am. Come Join in the Fun! Hope to see you there.
