About Take the Plunge Swim Classic

After more than a decade, one of Victoria’s most cherished pool-based swimming events is making its long-awaited return! Proudly hosted by City of Stonnington at the iconic Harold Holt Swim Centre, Take the Plunge invites competitive and recreational swimmers, families, and the broader community to dive into a day full of thrilling races, fun games and poolside entertainment.

Participants will compete for the Take the Plunge title in our 1km signature race, with other exciting prizes up for grabs including 1-year Active Complete membership.

Ticket Information

Tickets are $20 per person and include entry into up to three races:

• 1km swim classic (20 laps)
• 400m (8 laps)
• 50m sprint (1 lap)

Participants will compete across age divisions including '18 and under', 'open age' and '65 and over'. Estimated wave start times will be communicated to participants 1-week prior via email.

Post-Race Pool Party

Celebrate your swim and have fun at our post-race pool party, including:

• Giant indoor & outdoor pool inflatables
• Sausage sizzle
• Poolside entertainment + more

The pool party is open to everyone (no ticket required). Casual entry fees will be collected at reception for non-competitors.

How to Enter

Follow the process on Eventbrite to select your 'Race entry' ticket, add optional event t-shirt, and complete your order.

Parking

There are two off-street parking lots and street parking available at Harold Holt Swim Centre. Please take note of parking restrictions in the area.
