Tamborine Mountain Relays & Marathon 2026
Welcome to the Tamborine Mountain Relays & Marathon! This unique event, held annually around Australia Day, brings together the best elements of running: great people in a great location. Enjoy the incredible hospitality of the Tamborine locals, the fun of participating in teams with friends and families, a great course, and a relaxed vibe around the holiday period. This is an event you don't want to miss!
The course has its challenges, with elements of trail, cross country, and road, featuring rolling hills, speedy descents, and flat sections. The event is now under new leadership from Steve Jackson of Trail Trips & Events.
Event Options:
- Marathon Solo: 42km
- 2-person relay: Each person runs 21.1km (alternating 7km loops).
- 3-person relay: Each member runs 14km (two 7km loops).
- 6-person running relay: Each member runs 7km.
- 6-person walking relay: Each walker completes one 7km loop as part of a pair.
The event benefits the local community, with funds being raised for the Little Athletics Club. It's a great place to start your 2026 run season!
