The Sunglasses Run 5K

Race Info

Join us for The Sunglasses Run 5K on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Longview Lake Beach in Kansas City, MO. This event is designed for the whole family and includes a 5K run/walk and a kids run.

All 5K participants will receive a finisher's medal and a pair of Goodr brand sunglasses. You can choose your sunglasses style at packet pickup on a first-come, first-served basis. Opting out of sunglasses saves $12. An event shirt can be added for $8.

Funds raised will support our charity partner, Zero Reasons Why, dedicated to reducing teen suicide.

Events

• 5K Run/Walk: Price: $37. Time: 8:00 AM CDT - 10:00 AM CDT. Price increases after March 22, 2026.
• Kids Fun Run: Price: $12. Time: 9:00 AM CDT - 9:15 AM CDT. Price increases after April 26, 2026.
• Virtual 5K: Price: $46. Registration ends June 28, 2026.

Awards

Awards will be given to the fastest male and female finishers, fastest masters male and female, and top three finishers in various age groups.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is on Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM at a location TBD. Race morning pickup is available from 7:00 AM at the race site.
