THE RACE

Celebrate The Healing Place of New Hanover County's anniversary by run/walking our 5K on Saturday, February 7th. The Trudge commemorates the 3 miles that our clients walk every day in their recovery journey. After your 5K, stay for the big anniversary celebration which includes free food (brunch), community vendors, and more. Brunch includes fruit, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee.

RACE SWAG

Participants will receive a Trudge 5K shirt while supplies last. Finishers will receive a medal at the finish line.

THE COURSE

The Healing Place 1000 Medical Center Drive Wilmington, NC 28401

The Trudge 5K starts and finishes at The Healing Place of New Hanover County. The course takes participants to Greenfield Lake for a scenic out and back on the Greenfiled Lake muliti-use trail. This course is stroller friendly.

HOW YOUR REGISTRATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE

The Healing Place of New Hanover County truly is where hope is found. We provide food, shelter, clothing, and recovery services at no cost to the client. All a person has to have is a desire to get sober. We opened February 1, 2023 and have helped nearly 1,000 people withdraw from drugs and alcohol and have admitted nearly 800 people into our long-term residential recovery program. Every dollar raised by THPNC impacts a person either struggling with homelessness or active addiction.
