40th Annual Gary Tillman Clocktower 5K & 2-Mile Health Walk

This year we celebrate the 40th running of Rome's oldest race! What began as a fundraiser to repair Rome's iconic City Clock has grown into one of Georgia's premier running events. This year's event will benefit the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Events:

• Tillman Clocktower 5K: $30, 8:00AM EDT - 9:00AM EDT
• Tillman Clocktower 2-Mile Health Walk: $25, 8:05AM EDT - 9:30AM EDT

Location: Heritage Park, Rome, GA

Description: The race courses wind through historic downtown Rome and climb historic Clocktower Hill. Both the 5K and 2-mile Health Walk courses are scenic.

Amenities: Pre-race and post-race massages and stretching, post-race refreshments, participant packets, music.

Courses: Both events start and end in Heritage Park. The 5K course is certified by USATF (GA24030WC) and will be chip-timed. The 2-mile Health Walk is non-competitive.

Schedule:

• 6:30 AM: Race Day Registration/Packet Pick-up Opens
• 8:00 AM: 5K Start
• 8:05 AM: 2-Mile Health Walk Start
• 9:20 AM: Awards Ceremony

Registration: Pre-registration is available online at www.runsignup.com. Prices increase after July 19, 2024.

Pre-Race Packet Pickup: Friday, August 16th, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM at First United Methodist Church of Rome Wilder Center, 202 East 3rd Ave, Rome, GA 30161.

Awards: Awards will be given for the 5K. The 2-mile Health Walk is non-competitive.

Parking: Plenty of parking is available at Heritage Park and Riverview Park.
