About the Event
$5K - October
This 5K race is designed for athletes who want a low-key tune-up race, novices intimidated by larger events, and runners/walkers who want to test themselves without breaking the bank. Each monthly race gives you a chance to test your abilities, concentrate on your technique, and converse with others in the running community. It's an official chip-timed 5K event, and for those wanting more competition, the $5K Race Series (one 5K per month from April-October) awards points based on finishing times, with awards given at the October race.
Cost: $5.00. No refunds, transfers, or deferrals. Location: Jamison Park, 285 Meadowlark Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 US. Time: 6:00PM EDT - 7:30PM EDT. Registration Limit: 150 participants (waitlist in effect after). No pets allowed; headphones discouraged; strollers allowed (start at the back).
