The Paper Chase 5K, Presented by the EZBO Foundation, raises funds to support teachers and children with free supplies through Free 2 Teach. Free 2 Teach invests in public school teachers so that they can equip and inspire every child in their classroom. The race brings together teachers, administrators, students and community members all with the aim of supporting education in our county. Come out and join us on February 28, 2026 in downtown Huntsville. We are excited to come together as a community and support teachers and students! The school with the most runners (family, supporters, staff, friends etc) will win $1,500 for their school library and/or technology needs! The school in second place will earn $500 and third place school, $250. Everyone is a winner however, because every time a teacher shops with us, they leave with an average $400 in their carts! Thank you for supporting this us!

PACKET PICKUP will be at Fleet Feet in Jones Valley on Friday February 27th from 10am-7pm. You can pick up packets for your group. You can also get your packet the morning of the race. Please arrive early if you plan to do this so you can get your packet by 7:45 am. The start line is at Franklin and Gates. Map attached. The course winds through beautiful downtown Huntsville and is a partial loop certified with USATF (code: AL18003JE). Runners of all levels are invited as are walkers. This is a great way to run with your family and friends in a casual and fun environment. Due to insurance restrictions, strollers are not permitted on the course.

This race will be an in-person event, rain or shine. The race fee will go toward your registration and all funds are non-refundable. Thank you!
