• 5K Run: Price: $15. Registration ends January 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM CST.
• 1.6 Mile Fitness Walk: Price: $15. Registration ends January 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM CST.

Course Description:

The Winterfest 5K Run is a 2-loop course on city streets around Small Memorial Park and Kennedy Upper Grade School. The 1.6 Mile walk is 1 loop of the same course.

Fees:

• Through January 17: No Shirt $15, With Shirt $35
• January 18 - January 30: No Shirt $15, With Shirt N/A
• Race Day, January 31: No Shirt $25, With Shirt N/A

Discounts: $2.00 discount for club members of KRRC or PSRR, or ages 18 and under.

T-Shirts: Long-sleeved shirts (Dri-Fit or cotton) guaranteed to pre-registered by January 17th, who select the shirt option.

Charity:

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Salvation Army. Donations of canned food or non-perishable items are also encouraged.

Awards:

Running division: Top 3 Overall male and female, top Masters (40+), and awards 3 deep in 5-year age groups. Walking division: Awards to the first 10.

Refreshments:

Pizza from The Chicago Dough Company.

This event is sponsored by the Kankakee River Running Club (KRRC) and is a qualifying race for the Classic Series.
