Zombie Backyard Ultra

Event Details

Join us on Saturday, Aug 30, 2025, at 7:00 AM for the Zombie Backyard Ultra at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, AL. The race features a 4.167 mile loop with approximately 500 feet of elevation gain and loss. Runners will have space to set up tents or canopies for their supplies, with limited aid available at the start/finish line.

Race Format

• Participants must complete each loop within one hour to remain in the race.
• You must be in the starting corral when the next hour begins to attempt the next lap.
• The race is capped at 100 entrants, so register early!

Rules

• The course length is 4 miles, 880 feet.
• The starting corral will be fixed in size throughout the event.
• Each loop starts precisely one hour after the last with a warning bell 3, 2, and 1 minutes before start.
• Competitors must not leave the course until each loop is completed.
• No personal aid is allowed during a loop.
• The last individual to successfully complete a loop is declared the winner.
